Maen Madoc, maenhir at
Plas-y-Gors, Ystradfellte, Dyfed, An inscribed stone 3m high on the side of a mountain track with crude Latin capitals, some of which are reversed and read downwards. In 1940 it was moved a few yards away by the Ministry of Works. Wynford Vaughan Thomas called it a Roman milestone but it is unlikely that they erected it as the stone is of the Bronze Age. |
