The Pipers of Boleigh (Copyright John Hewett 2000)

The Pipers of Boleigh, menhirs at St. Buryan, Penwith,
Cornwall.

2 Menhirs at St Buryan. The N.E. Piper at 15 ft (4.6m) is Cornwall's tallest and its companion 317 ft (99m) away is the second tallest at 13 1/2 ft (4.2m). A line drawn between the two and extended touches a stone on the N.W. quadrant of the Merry Maidens, adding weight to the highly probable theory that these two stones are part of that stone circles system of outlying monuments and of Bronze Age origin.
